The Port Adelaide Cricket Club is saddened to hear of the passing of Ronnie early yesterday.
Ronnie was attributed in starting the junior program at the Port Adelaide Cricket Club and arranged games against the Sturt Cricket Club. He mentored many a young cricketer over the years as a coach or captain. He spent a number of years captaining the D grade at Port Adelaide.
He received Life Membership for not only his contribution to the formation of the Junior program but his tireless work with the younger players in our senior program. Nothing was too much for Ron he was certainly a can do member of our club on and off the field.
