Welcome to the women’s section of Port Adelaide where you can find all the details you need about our teams - including news, results and match reports - and how to join us.
We run three teams in grade cricket, South Australia's pathway to state and international honours - only three other clubs field teams in all three grades. Each of our sides has had success in both the one-day and 20-over competitions and we were the first club to win the leagues in all three divisions in the same year. View club statistics and premierships.
We are always very keen for new players of any age and experience, no equipment is required.
We are a diverse playing group who aim for good results but also to have fun! You’re welcome to join us at a training session on Wednesdays (for seniors) or Fridays (for juniors).
Training nights: Wednesdays from 5.30pm at Port Adelaide Cricket Club, Baynes Place.

Latest Womens News
The Port Adelaide Women's teams have started the season with new coach Mark Thamm, a new training regime and a totally new and innovative outlook to the game. Firstly, our girls have taken on board two of our young State players, Ashleigh Homes and Blythe Schembri as co-vice captains.
The girls will take control of the A Grade team whilst Captain Karen Rolton is away performing her State duties. They will also gain valuable leadership experience from Karen under her Captaincy in the local one day and T20 competition.
We are also looking forward to a new International partnership with Singapore Women's Cricket. Two Singaporean women are heading down under to play for us to gain valuable experience to take back with them to assist in the development of a Singapore Women's competition.
We hope to build on last years efforts and go 'One Step Further' - combining our wealth of experience with the development of the players of the future and take out Premierships across the three grades. Stay tuned for an exciting season.

Karen Rolton started playing cricket when she was in primary school with kanga cricket and then for her school Wandana Primary school. In year 7 she made the Prospect Shell Shield team in which she was the only female playing cricket with the boys. From then she discovered that women played cricket as she joined the Olympic Women’s cricket club. Karen played at Olympic for several years and was very successful. Eventually Olympic merged with another women’s team and they joined the Adelaide Cricket Club. After a few years there Karen moved to the Port Adelaide Cricket Club where our women’s teams have been very successful over a long period of time.
Karen also played men’s cricket for 4 years which was a fantastic experience for her and increased her development. Karen was 14 when she first played State Cricket, when she made the U/18 State team and then progressed to the State U/21 team when she was 17. From there she made the Senior State team during season 1994/95 and this is when Karen made her debut for the Australian Women's Cricket Team. Karen was awarded the Vice Captaincy in 1997 and later became Captain of the Australian Women’s Cricket Team in 2006.
Karen Rolton has played in 4 World cups, playing in 3 finals and winning 2. She recently captained Australia in the recent World Cup in Sydney. Karen has been named Women’s International Cricketer of the year 4 times, in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006. She was also named the ICC Women’s player of the year in 2006.
